A mysterious trunk arrives at Grey House. Cassie explains that the trunk was found at the Art Institute of Chicago and the last return address attached to it was Grey House. Grace opens the trunk and finds a beautiful gown, a khaki suit, an aviation jacket and a pair of boots. Cassie suspects that these eccentric outfits belonged to Elizabeth Merriwick, who owned Grey House in the 1930’s.
The doorbell rings at Grey House and Abigail answers, only to find her father waiting for her. Shocked, she asks what he is doing at Grey House, pointing out she hasn’t seen him in 22 years. She winds up slamming the door in his face and tells Cassie she is going to bed.
Liam, Cassie and Sam are enjoying breakfast at the Bistro when Sam cuts out early to head back to work. Liam and Cassie grab a couple of minutes of chat, where he reveals that this is the week of the anniversary of his divorce. On the other hand, it’s also the anniversary of Sam moving to Middleton.
Cassie, Abigail and Martha meet up at the Bistro for coffee and Martha wants all the details on the engagement. Stephanie stops by to wish Cassie congratulations and tells the ladies that she is ready to move on from Ben. When Stephanie leaves, Martha tells Cassie and Abigail that she is supposed to give a speech at the re-dedication of the Salt Creek Bridge and can use a little inspiration, especially because the last mayor to dedicate the bridge gave a lasting impression. That man was her husband.
George reveals he knew Laurel Merriwick but promised not to reveal this or give Cassie, Abigail and Joy the bags until the start of the Red Haloed Moon per her instructions. They try to find clues to help them make sense of the symbol in the sand.
Missy and Gus get closer when she agrees to give his niece a tour of the ranch, and Valeria works her way into the ranch hand boys club via their traditional Poker game.
