Andrea Brooks is a Canadian actress who, in addition to her role on “When Calls the Heart,” is best known for her quirky portrayal of Eve Tessmacher on The CW’s “Supergirl,” as initially portrayed by Valerie Perrine in the original Superman films. Recently, Brooks has guest starred in a number of hit shows such as “Bates Motel,” “Once Upon a Time,” “UnREAL” and “The Flash,” in which she once again resumed her role as Miss Tessmacher. In addition to these television credits, Brooks is a frequent player on the Hallmark Channel, having appeared in the original movies “In the Key of Love,” “Jingle Around the Clock,” “The Sweetest Heart,” “A Harvest Wedding,” “Destination Wedding,” “A Wish for Christmas,” “Summer in the City” and “Date With Love.” Growing up, she trained in figure skating, dance, music and theatre.
Brooks holds a Bachelor and Master of Arts degree from The University of British Columbia and is also fluent in French. When she is not busy with work, she enjoys writing, running, hanging out with her dogs and playing the ukulele.
