Nutrition expert Haylie Pomroy breaks down the meaning of metabolism. Because metabolism is nutrient dependent, she recommends eating within 30 minutes of waking up and every 2-4 hours throughout the day with nutrient rich foods. She also gives examples of anti-inflammatory foods to eat, and advises consuming half your body weight in ounces of water to assist in the rate of burn.
