Lawrence's Tips for Dressing with an "Apple Shape":
The apple shape means your body is "top heavy," i.e., you have a wide torso, broad shoulders, and a full bust, waist, and upper back. Apple-shaped bodied women also tend to have thinner arms, legs, and hips, and tend to gain weight at their waistlines.
Use your outfit to balance your shoulders, bust, waist, and hips.
Use lines to focus the eye where you want it to go, such as wrap dresses, belts, and tops/dresses that accentuate shoulders, neckline and bust.
This can help you create curves, lengthen, or emphasize your favorite parts of your body.
TIP: choose flattering patterns and soft colors that keep the eye moving.
