Cassie brings English Breakfast tea to Joy and finds her startled from a strange dream. Joy soon realizes she fell asleep with Elizabeth Merriwick’s journal next to her and quickly hides it. Cassie says dreams can tell us a lot. Joy finds Cassie knows a lot about dreams, and Cassie says it’s a Merriwick thing.
The morning after the softball game, Olivia and Jack enjoy coffee and a stroll near Moon’s. Jack apologizes for getting out of hand at the game. He explains about overhearing Liz at the Galley the night before – and that she thinks Olivia and Paul should be together. Olivia brushes the idea aside, and asks why Jack did not make the decision to become Alex’s sponsor with her before agreeing to it. That said, she believes Jack will be a great sponsor for Alex. Both Jack and Olivia want to get things back on track by spending more time together.
Bill is put in jeopardy while transporting AJ to face trial; Abigail tries to save the town from an investor who will hurt Hope Valley; Carson is faced with a decision; Elizabeth tries to reunite a mother and her son.

Cassie welcomes two new guests to Grey House. The strangers, Annabel and Jim, are both in town for job interviews, and to their surprise, they are competing for the same job! After some friendly bickering, Cassie ushers both inside to help get them settled in their rooms.
