DIY XO Post
Ken Wingard is making a decorative DIY for Valentine’s Day, a XO post. Attach two sticks together to make the “Xs.” Pre-drill the sticks to avoid splitting the wood. For the “O” shape he uses a grapevine wreath. To keep this DIY held together, he recommends using bailing wire over floral wire. When done, he places the post next to the fireplace as a romantic decoration.
Former NFL athlete and and author Devon Still visits Home & Family to talk about his book, “Still in the Game.” The book discusses his young daughter’s battle with a nerve-tissue cancer. He first noticed signs during a family trip at Disney World when his daughter was complaining of being in pain. He also shares how the day before his daughter’s big surgery, he showed her his own physical scars from his football playing to help calm her. He reveals that it is okay to be vulnerable around your children. Today, he is happy to report that his daughter is cancer-free.
