Winter Warriors

Steak Frites with Red Wine Vinegar Demi-Glace Beurre
Chef and owner of The Greenhouse Tavern, Jonathon Sawyer is in the kitchen making a hearty dish of steak frites with red wine vinegar demi-glace beurre. He explains that a demi-glace beurre is a rich, concentrated French brown side. He grills the steak for up to three minutes to give it the perfect color, then places it in the oven. When done, he lets the steak roast for a few minutes to marinate.
DIY Arm Knitted Throw
Ken Wingard is taking thick chunky yarn and showing you how to knit a throw using your arms. He recommends arm-knitting because you do not have to use any tools. You will need around 6-24 yards of yarn for the perfect sized throw and the entire project will cost you less than $40.
