Potato Dumplings with Spring Roots
Author of “The Farmhouse Chef,” Jamie DeMent is in the kitchen making a hearty recipe of potato dumplings with spring roots. She points out that this dish is something you can serve as a main dish or as a side. You can also add ham or bacon to the dumplings for even more flavor. This dish was influenced by Jamie’s trip to Prague to visit her daughter, who was studying abroad at the time. When serving, put the cooked dumpling in your bowl and spoon the broth over and eat.
