Cookbook author of “Southern Pies,” Nancie McDermott is making a refreshing dessert, shaker lemon pie! Make sure to slice the lemons into as tiny bits as possible, taking out the seeds. Cut the bitterness of the lemons using sugar, coating every single piece. After making the filling, she makes a double-crust pastry, but you can also save time by purchasing a pre-made crust, as well.
