DIY Light Fixture Chandelier

Ken Wingard is getting inspired by Hallmark Channel's Original Movie, "Flip That Romance," with this handy DIY.

Materials

  • 1 - 6 bulb vanity light
  • 1 - 39 inch piece of 1x8 wood
  • 6 wide mouth mason jars
  • E6000 glue
  • Screws
  • Drill
  • Spray paint
  • 4 wrought iron garden hooks
  • Chandelier chain
  • A lamp cord
DIY Light Fixture Chandelier - Home & Family

Directions

1. Drill a hole in the board large enough for the wires to pass through, where it will be concealed by the fixture

2. Remove the cover of your light fixture

3. Screw the base of the fixture to the board

4. Feed the wire through the hold in the 1x8

5. Paint the top of the fixture and let it dry

6. Glue the lids of the mason jars onto the fixture (TIP: Make sure the mason jars are large enough to cover your light bulbs)

7. Reattach the cover

8. Attach the garden hooks to the back of the wood

9. String Chandelier chain through the hooks

10. Hang the fixture

11. Screw in light bulbs

12. Screw on mason jars

13. Enjoy!
