- Various styles of chain
- Jump rings
- Charms
- Jewelry pliers
- Wire cutters

- Place the chain around the back of the boot from eyelet to eyelet without cutting to see how you want the chain to hang off the boot then measure the amount you need for each swag.
- Cut the chain pieces to length with a wire cutter.
- Unlace the boots then place each end link of a piece of chain on the corresponding lace as you lace them up again.
- Repeat on the other boot
- Add charms if desired and enjoy!
- Place the chain around the back of the boot from eyelet to eyelet without cutting to see how you want the chain to hang off the boot then measure the amount you need for each swag.
- Cut the chain pieces to length with a wire cutter.
- Use jewelry pliers to open and attach a jump ring to each eyelet you want to add chain to. Leave the ring open.
- Add the end of each length of chain to the appropriate eyelet and close it with a jump ring. Repeat until all ends of the chain are fastened to the boot with a jump ring.
- Repeat on the other boot.
- Add charms with jump rings if desired. And enjoy!
- Place the chain around the ankle of the boot to see how much length you’ll need to slide the chain on and off easily.
- Cut the chain to length with wire cutters.
- Attach the ends of the chain together with a jump ring unless you’d like to use a lobster clasp to give the ability to clip on and off instead of sliding. Then attach the clasp with a jump ring to one end of the chain and a jump ring to the other end if the link isn’t wide enough to fit on its own.
- Add charms with jump rings if desired. And enjoy!
