Ask Shirley
Shirley has lots of answers for fall-related garden questions! First, mums are hearty perennials but shop carefully. If you are using for fall decor, a plant with closed buds will last for about 8 weeks. If you want instant color, purchase a mum in full bloom but know it will last for about 3 weeks. Be sure to water right on the soil, and not on the blooms as this can cause rot, and remember to water daily! Shirley demonstrates how pinching is a type of pruning that promotes plants to grow more lateral stems and become fuller.

There are also Diabetes Prevention programs as well for managing care. Get familiar with what Medicare is about, plan to make time for a decision, and finally find the right company for your policy.
