Vegan Caesar Salad
Daniella Monet is making a delicious vegan salad with homemade dressing and chickpea croutons. This is a great plant-based recipe and the ingredients have added health benefits. As she is preparing the salad, she also talks about her vegan restaurant “Sugar Taco” which will be opening in LA this summer.
DIY Easter Trays
Maria Provenzano is getting ready for Easter by making a DIY Easter tray, drink stirrers and lavender lemonade. The trays are great for serving cupcakes or lemonade. She says you can find a regular plastic serving tray at any grocery store, just make sure it has an edge on it. The rest of the embellishments can be found at your local craft store. The drink stirrers are made with mini pom-poms that look like bunny tails.
Tour for Life
Patrick Burke of North Shore Animal League America visits Home & Family to talk about Tour for Life. Tour for Live is a tour bus going to 51 cities around the nation to help find rescue animals their forever homes. He reminds viewers that every time you adopt one animal you save two: the animal you rescued and the new animal that now has space to be in the shelter. This year, Patrick will be driving the tour bus to a city near you!
Hydrangeas 101
Shirley Bovshow is introducing you to ways you can grow vibrant, beautiful hydrangeas at home. She was inspired to plant these flowers from Hallmark Channel’s Original Movie, “True Love Blooms,” which you can watch this Saturday at 8/7c. She points out that you can grow the flowers in pink, red, purple and blue, among other stunning colors. She also shows you how you can test the soil to make sure you are using the right one for your hydrangeas.

Michael Cudlitz
Actor Michael Cudlitz sits down with Cameron and Debbie to talk about his ABC comedy, “The Kids Are Alright,” which you can catch Tuesdays at 8:30/7:30c. He explains that the show takes place around 1972 and he plays the patriarch to a large Irish Catholic family with all sons. He even brings a funny clip from the show. He discusses his home improvement skills and what it has been like fixing up his own house in Los Angeles.
Zucchini Noodles with Garlic Scape and Pistachio Pesto
Chef and author of “Real Food Heals,” Seamus Mullen is in the kitchen making a mouth-watering dish of zucchini noodles with garlic scape and pistachio pesto. He calls this pasta without the guilt because it is made with zucchini. To make the “zoodles,” you can use a Spiralizer, a mandolin or a sharp knife. He also uses a salad spinner to get out all the excess water that zucchini carries. For the pesto, he adds ingredients that provide flavor and antioxidants.
DIY Road Map Duffel Bags
Orly Shani is taking ordinary duffel bags and making them even more stylish with this fun DIY by using road maps. She points out that this DIY is a great way to remind you of some of your favorite travels. Before getting started, she recommends you to search for map sizes that would fit on a bag. Make sure to print the maps on the sew-in fabric sheets. Make sure you turn your fabric sheet with the map side facing down and iron it to smooth it out before attaching to your bag.

Actor Adam Tsekhman visits Home & Family to talk about his CW show, “DC’s Legends of Tomorrow” which you can watch Mondays at 8/7c. He calls his character the “normal one,” who cleans up the legends’ messes, only he usually makes things worse. He also shares his family story about how his grandparents immigrated from Russia to Canada. The actor discusses his segue into acting from studying finance in college.
DIY Ice Skate Wall Art
Ken Wingard is getting inspired by Hallmark Channel’s Original Movie, “Christmas Next Door,” that you can watch this Friday at 8/7c with this DIY ice skate wall art. You can make this DIY as high-end or as low-end as you wish. He attaches the ice skate pattern on the canvas using hot glue. This is also a fun DIY to do on a rainy day with the kids.
