When Lisa (Wagner) takes a last-minute Christmas trip to her hometown of Evergreen, she finds that the historic general store has been closed. Using her skills as a professional retail designer, Lisa decides to keep local tradition alive and help the good people of Evergreen bring the store back to life. As Lisa charms a local contractor named Kevin (Deklin) into working with her, the pair find themselves facing one surprise after another as they restore the store to its former glory. When the staff at the Kringle Kitchen temporarily accept the store’s beloved ‘Mailbox to Santa’ for safekeeping, the townspeople find and rally around a mysterious 25-year-old letter that never made it to the North Pole. Cassie is about to close up the store for the evening when Martha comes in looking for a map of historic Middleton. Once she finds the map, Martha realizes it might be a bit older than what she was looking for. Sam surprises Cassie by bringing in boxes for her to help pack old inventory to make room for new arrivals. When Sam kisses Cassie before departing, Martha points out to Cassie that it definitely appears she and Sam have gotten closer.

Cassie brings English Breakfast tea to Joy and finds her startled from a strange dream. Joy soon realizes she fell asleep with Elizabeth Merriwick’s journal next to her and quickly hides it. Cassie says dreams can tell us a lot. Joy finds Cassie knows a lot about dreams, and Cassie says it’s a Merriwick thing.
Cassie, Abigail, Joy and George come together to protect the Merriwick magic from the mysterious force over Middleton. Cassie and Sam make a momentous decision about their life together.
