Denise is a self-proclaimed foodie who recently added author to her list of accomplishments. Under her Weeziana Girl, Inc. culinary banner, she released a cookbook, Southern Modified, alongside “Food Network Star” chef Jernard Wells. She also owns a spice line inspired by her Louisiana roots.
Growing up in the small town of Maurice, Louisiana, Denise dreamed the more practical dream of becoming a doctor, as conquering the “Lights and Cameras” of Hollywood never crossed her mind. Medical school no longer a passion, she switched gears, earning a degree in Mass Communications, minor in Marketing from Louisiana State University. Boutté’s creative intuition led her to Dallas, Texas and the world of advertising. She quickly climbed the ranks from account executive to director of leading brands including Frito Lay, Pampers, Fossil and Mary Kay Cosmetics, among others. While overseeing client campaigns, she was introduced to life on set, the seed was planted and she headed West.

Since his early 20s, Lawrence has been recurring and guest starring in many popular television series. Notably, from 2006-2009 Lawrence gained recognition as Hamish “Skulls” McCall on the acclaimed, rebooted “Battlestar Galactica” series.

Karen graduated from Northwestern University Bienen School of Music with a Bachelor of Music in Voice and Opera and from NYU Tisch School of the Arts Grad Acting Program with a Master of Fine Arts in Acting.
She has also originated many iconic American theatre roles, including Jory in Ayad Akhtar’s Pulitzer Prize Winning, Tony-nominated Broadway play Disgraced, Nya Joseph in the award-winning Pipeline written by Dominique Morrisseau, and Charlotte in Claudia Rankine’s The White Card.
