Jill Kargman Interview
The star of Bravo’s “Odd Mom Out,” Jill Kargman, sits down with Debbie and Mark to talk about the second season of the tv series, which airs Mondays at 10/9c. She opens up about how the show was developed at the network and admits she never thought she would be an actress. Jill also writes for the show and jokes that she had to fire her own children when they were cast on the show in the first season because she didn’t want them getting into the acting business so young. She is still very happy with that decision.

Greek Style Lemony Oregano Chicken
Debbie is back in the kitchen cooking up her mother’s famous chicken recipe that has a Greek twist. The first step is using the citrus acids from lemons to help tenderize the chicken. Debbie credits her mother for teaching her everything she needed to know about cooking. This is one of her favorite dishes because it is great for summertime and is also low in calories. She also makes her own vinaigrette to accompany the chicken when it’s ready.

Bird Bath Bungalow
DIY finalist Jeremy Rabe is back for the Home & Family Craft-Off. Jeremy was given $150 for supplies and only 8 hours to complete his project. Today, he is making a Fourth of July-themed bird bath bungalow, which serves three purposes: a bird bath, a bird house and a bird feeder. In the end, his DIY bird bungalow only cost $60! He dedicates this DIY to his grandma, who inspired him to craft when he was growing up.

Merle Dandridge Interview
Merle stops by Home & Family to talk about her new series, “Greenleaf” which airs Wednesdays on Own. The storyline centers around a corrupt Southern megachurch. Oprah serves as executive producer and even has a recurring role on the series. Merle jokes about her first encounter with Oprah and how nervous she was meeting her, but was instantly made to feel comfortable. This is a television breakthrough role for the actress, who has been a star on the stage, starring in such plays as “Aida,” “Tarzan” and “Spamalot.”
How to Get Great Arms for Summer
Fitness expert Harley Pasternak visits Home & Family to talk about how to get those arms toned just in time for summertime. He recommends getting 10,000 steps a day as a start and eating well, packing your meals with protein. To top it off, he shows off a tricep exercise that you can do at home. Finally, he introduces Mark and Debbie to a healthy and delicious smoothie to help get your protein, fiber, and healthy fat in your diet.

The furry feline now has 3.5 million followers on Instagram and Mike has taken advantage of her fame to encourage people to adopt pets, instead of shopping for them, especially those with special needs. Today happens to be Mike’s birthday and Lil Bub’s, making their relationship that much more meaningful.

The Home & Family Craft-Off continues and today DIY finalist Amber Kemp-Gerstel is showing you how to make a patriotic picnic basket, using an old wooden crate basket.
