This recipe has been passed down from his mother, who used to prepare these meatballs for John when he was a kid. Along with the meatballs, he also makes a homemade marinara sauce and Mediterranean salsa verde. When the meatballs are done cooking and smothered in the marinara sauce, he sprinkles parmesan cheese on top and places it in the oven to melt the cheese. When he take the meatballs out, he sprinkles even more cheese on top.
