Chef Betty Fraser Cooks!
The chef is in the kitchen whipping up french toast with a delicious kick that includes bacon! She loves cooking french toast because it is a great way to use old bread. She pairs the dish with homemade vanilla syrup. She recommends using real vanilla bean instead of the extract because it is so much richer. She also encourages you to customize the french toast to the flavors your kids like. When it comes to the bread, she uses Texas toast because it absorbs more of the custard.
