Gary Mendell, the founder and creator of Shatterproof talks to Mark and Cristina about addiction. He shares the story of the death of his 25-year-old son, Brian, who committed suicide after a long battle with his addiction. Gary felt there was a stigma attached to addiction and wanted to change that. He wants more addiction treatment to be based on science and research. Shatterproof activist Geri Weber talks about her own addiction and has now been clean for 29 years and has joined the Shatterproof mission to end the stigma of addiction.
