Holly Robinson Peete

Holly Robinson Peete of Hallmark Channel’s “Meet the Peetes” sits down with Cameron and Debbie to talk about the show’s Christmas special that premieres tonight at 7/6c. She also talks about her own love for the holidays and what it is like being part of Hallmark Channel’s first family Christmas special. She brings a clip from the special, which features she and Ryan decorating the Christmas tree. She even gives you a sneak peek of this year’s Peete family Christmas card photo.

Vermont Maple Pecan Pie

Executive chef of Tre Rivali restaurant, Heather Terhune is in the kitchen baking a mouth-watering Vermont maple pecan pie. She says the key to the perfect pie is to make sure all the ingredients are cold, including freezing the flour. If you are not a fan of pecans, you can always turn this dessert into a maple sugar pie.

This includes removing the lower leaves from poinsettias before placing them in vases, also burning the ends of the stems to keep the sap from leaking. Gaby Dalkin of “What’s Gaby Cooking,” is in the kitchen making a mouth-watering Italian dish of lasagna bolognese with homemade basil vinaigrette. She says adding the vinaigrette to the recipe gives the lasagna an extra-pop of flavor. The best part is that you can freeze the dish uncooked and then pop it in the oven when it is time to serve.

The Little Angels Project

Larissa Wohl is joined by Darlene Geekie to talk about The Little Angels Project that Darlene founded. The two discuss how the organization helped animals during the recent Southern California fires. This project even started a makeshift hospital for injured animals who had escaped the Malibu fires. Darlene also discusses the level of human comfort she and her staff were able to provide to the animals that were traumatized from the fires.
