Spring Harvest Tarts
Co-host of “America’s Test Kitchen,” Bridget Lancaster is in the kitchen today making the perfect spring dish, harvest tarts! To save time, you can purchase the puffed pastry in the frozen food aisle at your grocery store ahead of time, take it home and bake it until it is golden brown. When you add fennel, it adds an nice sweet taste to the tart. She uses salt-cured olives for a smoky flavor. When done, she garnishes the tart with some fresh basil for serving.

Chocolate Chip Blondies
Despina and Michael Kontomanolis of Despina’s Cream Bakery in New York are in the kitchen making mouth-watering chocolate chip blondies. The brother and sister duo explain that a blondie is a brownie without the cocoa powder. When it comes to sweetener, Despina uses honey because it is a natural ingredient and adds a nice Greek twist. Don’t be alarmed if the batter is flat in the pan because it rises while baking.
Dip Dye 3 Ways
Maria Provenzano is introducing you to dip dying three different ways. She describes the technique as super easy and a great way to add a pop of color to items like wooden spoons, baskets and decorative brooms. Before getting started, she recommends wearing an apron because the dye makes a permanent stain on clothes. The best part about dip dying is that you get instant gratification with the results when you are done.

Dr. Lara Fielding visits Home & Family to talk about about her book, “Mastering Adulthood: Go Beyond Adulting to Become an Emotional Grown-Up.” In the book, the clinical psychologist shares with you strategies one can do for dealing with emotions like anxiety, sadness, anger and uncertainty.
Monte Cristo Sandwich
Executive chef of Bourbon Steak restaurant, Kyle Johnson is in the kitchen making a traditional Monte Cristo sandwich. This sandwich is perfect for brunch because it is made with french toast and ham. He adds a savory twist to the dish by using sourdough bread instead of brioche and a bit of dijon mustard. After layering the sandwich, place it in the refrigerator to stale the bread before soaking it in your dredge.
Soul Painting
Lovitude soul painter Anne Pryor explains what soul painting actually is. She says that she first learned the technique after a friend of hers passed away and she wanted a way to communicate with them after-death. She also discusses the term “lovitude,” which is a combination of love and gratitude. Soul painting involves dripping ink on plastic and blowing it with your breath with a metal straw. She lets energy around her guide her with the artwork. You should give your art three days to completely dry.
