Tanya’s DIY Winter Hats and Mittens

• Plain winter hat
• Plain mittens
• Felt
• Yarn
• Glue gun
• Yarn needle
• Sparkly pom pom

Directions:

1. First decide on your design and character

1. Take yarn and make three pom poms

1. Make a longer loose pom pom and glue on the top of the hat.

1. To make the braids wrap the yarn around your hand and down to elbow to make long strips of yarn.

1. Braid the strips and sew onto the sides of the hat

1. Cut out eyes with felt and glue

1. Glue on a sparkly pom pom for nose
