Tanya’s DIY Fringe Necklace

Tanya Memme is back with another jewelry look using fringe!

  • T-shirt
  • Long necklace or chain
  • Various fabrics for accents

Note: Once you’ve added the fringe, you want to add accents to give it final pop, and added texture.  We’re going to add leather and gold chains to break up the cotton t-shirt material, so here’s what we have to do…

  1. Take a regular t-shirt and cut half-inch strips (The material will curl on it’s own)
  2. Arrange strips from longest to shortest
  3. Take the center link on the chain and tie the longest piece then choose shorter lengths moving out
  4. Tie each piece into a knot on the chain
  5. Add in accents like leather or gold chains
  6. To finish, add little gold rings then trim the fringe into a horseshoe shape
