Spooky Spiderweb Glow Jars with Tanya Memme

Materials:

  • Mason Jars – any size
  • Glow-in-the-dark paint
  • Glue gun
  • Spiderwebs
  • Spiders
  • Glow sticks
  • Scissors to cut glow sticks

Steps:

  1. Open the jar.
  2. Put a glob of paint in the jar.
  3. Use your hands to scratch it up the sides of the jar.
  4. Set jar aside to dry (swap out jar).
  5. Take a plastic spider.
  6. Using the glue gun, dab glue on spiders.
  7. Affix to inside walls of jar.
  8. Put a big glob of glue on bottom of jar and on two sides.
  9. Affix the web to bottom and pull to sides. Glue to the sides.
  10. Keep it taught.
  11. Pull web up to the top and hold it in place.
  12. Put a couple more spiders on the web in two different places. (Spiders will cling to the web – no glue needed).
  13. Cut open a glow stick on both ends and shake it in jar, spattering around inside.
  14. Pull the web super tight and screw lid on.
  15. Decorate lid with a bit of web and a spider.
