Ingredients for Push-Up Deodorant (Makes 2 x 2-ounce tubes):
- ½ cup coconut oil
- ½ cup shea butter
- 4 teaspoons beeswax pellets
- 2 Tablespoons zinc oxide
- 20 drops grapefruit essential oil
- You will need to buy 2-ounce tubes for this
Ingredients for Pit Paste:
- ¼ Cup Tapioca Starch
- ¼ Cup Baking Soda
- ¼ Cup coconut oil
- 1 teaspoon zinc oxide
- 40 drops of your favorite essential oil
Ingredients for Body Spray:
- 2 ounces distilled water
- 1 ounce Witch Hazel
- 1 ounce aloe vera juice
- 40 drops of your favorite essential oil
- 4-ounce sprayer bottle
Directions for Push-Up Deoderant:
- Melt oils and butters in a double boiler
- Remove from heat and whisk in zinc oxide
- Add the essential oil
- Pour into molds
- Allow it to set for 3 – 4 hours

Shea butter, hydrating and nourishing
Zinc Oxide will help you to stay dry and helps with odor
Grapefruit essential oil is antibacterial.
Directions for Pit Paste:
- Mash ingredients together in a bowl. (Note that when it’s warm outside the coconut oil will be liquid enough to mash without heating first. In the colder months, you may have to heat it by placing in a cup and then standing the cup in very hot water for 5 minutes.)
- Simply place all the ingredients in a bowl and mash together with a fork. Transfer to a jar, and chill in the fridge.
- In very warm weather it’s best to keep it in the fridge. In cooler weather, you can keep it out.

Coconut oil will protect and nourish your skin
Zinc Oxide deals with wetness and odor
(Since we are using essential oils, I prefer you use an opaque sprayer because light degrades the oils). I found mine (cute metal sprayers) at The Container Store.
Directions for the Body Spray:
Simply mix all the ingredients and transfer to bottle!
Ingredient Benefits:
The witch hazel is an astringent, so helps to evaporate sweat on contact. The aloe vera juice is moisturizing. The essential oils (if you choose lavender, tea tree, peppermint, grapefruit, lemon are anti-bacterial).
