Orly Shani’s DIY Embroidered Clothing - Home & Family

1. Draw a design on the back of your jacket

2. Thread the needle with embroidery floss

3. Following your design, sew over the sketch lines

4. Use short stitches to create the curves

TIP: Embroidery thread (or “floss”) comes in various thicknesses and finishes

TIP: Embroidery (or “crewel”) needles have a larger “eye” for easier threading

TIP: Crewel needles come in sizes 1-12, 1 being the largest and 12 being the finest

TIP: Thick needles & yarn may require puncturing holes to break through fabric
