Materials for Ballet Slipper Ornaments
- Ballet pointe shoes, preferably pale pink or cream colored
- Embellishing glue for fabric (clearly labeled at craft stores)
- Decorations for the shoes, such as gemstones, sequins, beads, buttons, glass, and tiles
- Artificial flowers, tulle, small dolls, stuffed animals, or whatever you like to fill the shoe
- Hot glue gun
Materials for Gold Nutcrackers
- Gold Spray paint
- Old nutcrackers or plain wooden nutcrackers
- Felt for beards
- Hot glue gun
Materials for Gumball Tree
- Styrofoam Tree (large or small)
- Assorted Gumballs
- Hot Glue Gun
Directions for Ballet Slipper Ornaments
1. Cover as much or as little of the shoe with decorations as you like.
2. Tie the ribbons together so they can be hung from a branch.
3. After the glue dries, you can also tuck items into the shoe, such as artificial flowers, tulle, small dolls, or stuffed animals, or anything decorative or whimsical.
Directions for Gold Nutcrackers
1. If old Nutcrackers, remove any beards or hair on the nutcracker
2. Sand to smooth
3. Spray paint gold
4. Reattach the beards and hair with hot glue
Directions for Gumball Tree
1) Attach the gumballs to the Styrofoam tree using hot glue.
2) Cover the entire tree with gumballs.
