Materials
- (9) Large popsicle sticks
- (2) Lego gray half pin with stud
- (2) Lego black tile 1x4
- (2) Lego black wheel spoked small
- Thick Metal Clothes Hanger or wooden dowel
- Wooden plug for screw holes
- Duct tape or duct tape sheet
- Scissors
- Tacky Glue
- Krazy Glue
- Wood stain
- Sugru Mouldable Glue
- Optional: felt pads and magnets
- Optional handle: Rubber door stop tip
- Optional decorations: masonry nails, tiny plaid wreath
- Optional Wheels: 3m command light clips
- Optional Wheels: Sewing bobbins, screw, bolt and galvanized steel hanger strip
Steps
1) Duct tape 5 popsicle sticks together
2) Mark and cut top, bottom, and X pattern popsicle sticks with scissors
3) Glue the top and bottom sticks in place with tacky glue
4) Use wood stain on the door, X pattern, and handle (wood plug)
5) Use tacky glue to attach the X pattern and handle to the door
6) Connect the Lego pieces
7) Use Sugru to attach the lego pieces
8) At your front door, cut a metal hanger to size and use Sugru to attach bar to the door—duct tape into place and allow to set 24 hours. (Follow Sugru directions.)
9) Place the barn door on the metal bar and done!
10) Optional: Attach 2 felt pads in the corners to prevent scratching
11) Optional: If needed, use a magnets on the back for added stability. The door will still slide but clings tighter to the door. (Especially useful if you have door slammers at your house!)
