Materials for the base:
- 2 sheets of 4x8 plywood
- 2 sheets of rigid insulation
- Adhesive
- Cotton drop cloth
- Staple gun

Materials for Upholstering the headboard:
- Cotton drop cloth

Materials for Bedding:
- Bed Skirt
- Fitted Sheet
- Flat sheet
- Blanket
- Duvet
- Sleeping Pillows
- Euro Shams
- Decorative Pillows
Directions for Creating the base:
- Take precut headboard and show using adhesive to attach insulation.
- Swap out to headboard where insulation is already attached and mostly cut.
- Cut remainder of insulation live.
- Wrap batting around headboard and start to staple.
Directions for Upholstering the headboard:
- Iron drop cloth if needed
- Lay headboard face down on cloth
- Pull cloth around headboard and staple in place
- Trim excess
- Secure around edges of bed with tacks
DIY Headboard - Part Two
Directions for layering sheets:
- Correct order to layer sheets: bed skirt, fitted sheet, flat sheet, blanket, duvet
- Deeply colored sheets fade easily and are not as soft
- Flat sheet always goes pattern side down
- Fold sheets and blankets down 15-20 inches
- Create unity by matching shams to duvet covers
Directions for a DIY fur throw:
- Get fur & backing
- Place face to face
- Sew around all four sies
- Leave 12 inches unsewn
