Materials
- 3/8" X 2' X 4' Sanded plywood
- 1" X 3" X 8' Pine strips
- 3/4 " Dowel
- Medium grit sand paper
- Loctite epoxy 2 part, 5 minute
- Epoxy remover
- Popsicle sticks (to mix glue)
- Finish nails 6-D
- DAP plastic wood filler, fast dry, natural color
- White waterbase primer
- Wood Stain, waterbase...color mahogany
- Paint
- Grumbacher Academy Acrylic Paints (Cadium red medium hue, Thalo yellow, green, Titanium white, Hooker green hue, Cadium yellow, Ivory black
- Folk Art blending gel (one)
- Sea sponge
- Brushes
- Brushes..Flat 3", flat 2", flat1" synthetic golden Round #2, Round #7 synthetic golden
- Rustoleum Crystal clear glossy spray enamel
Directions
1. Cut out plywood using pattern
2. Sand all edges
3. Drill doweling hole
4. Cut one 12" X 3/4" Dowel
5. Cut 13...12" slats
6. Assemble slats using epoxy & finish nails
7. Attach dowel
8. Set nails
9. Fill holes/ sand when dry
10. Stain inside/outside of slats & handle
11. Prime both half circle fronts
12. Using Academy paints & blending gel
13. Sea sponge paint on outer slats
14. On primed area paint lime green border
15. Dry brush (no gel) yellow above green
16. Feather dark green from edge inward. When dry....dry brush white criss/cross brush strokes
17. Mark your seeds
18. Dry brush white ovals where your marks are
19. Paint black tear drop seeds on white ovals
20. When dry....Dot white on each seed for reflection
