DIY Sawhorse Reindeer with Mark and Anthony Sabato Jr.

Materials:

  • Sawhorse
  • Paint & paint brush
  • Plywood
  • Ornament (for the nose)
  • Glue
  • L brackets
  • Sander or sand paper
  • Jigsaw
  • Screw

Directions:

  1. On your plywood, draw out your pattern – your reindeer head, tail and antlers
  2. For the base of the reindeer neck, make sure you cut the right angle to your sawhorse. Place wood against edge of sawhorse – trace that corner out
  3. Cut your antlers and ears
  4. Cut your head, neck and tail
  5. On the top of your head and the base of your ears and antlers  - cut a two-inch notch (just as wide as the width of your plywood)
  6. Sand your sawhorse reindeer
  7. Paint all of your parts and pieces
  8. Attach with L brackets and screws

   

You can also add additional embellishments:

  1. Wreath around its neck
  2. Jingle bells on the collar
  3. Christmas lights
