Ken Wingard is making his own remembrance poppies just time for Memorial Day.

Materials

  • Crepe paper
  • Floral wire
  • Floral tape
  • Scissors
  • Hot glue
  • Foam balls
DIY Remembrance Poppies - Home & Family

Directions

1. Glue foam balls onto the end of floral wire

2. Wrap foam ball with black crepe paper

3. Cover entire floral wire with floral tap

4. Use black crepe paper and cover foam ball

5. Cut crepe paper in 4-inch stripes.

6. Then fold into six layers and cut into circles

7. Pinch base of each circle and create a petal to form a cup

8. Hot glue petals around the foam ball

9. Layer petals over the first couple of petals

10. Carefully crunch petals into a cone shape and cover stem with floral tape

11. Gently open and form petals
