Materials
- Door mat
- Black paint (can use artist acrylic paint)
- Painters tape
- Paintbrush/sponge
- Stencil (OPTION: If you want to customize even more, you can use your printer and some contact paper. You would also need a utility knife and small pins.)
- Weather proofing spray
DIY Welcoming Mats - Home & Family
Directions
1. Choose your inspirational mantra or welcome message.
2. Arrange stencil letters on your mat into your words of inspiration and tape to keep in place.
3. Using a sponge dab a generous amount of black paint inside the stencil to get full
coverage.
4. Remove stencil to reveal your inspirational design.
5. Set aside and allow to dry.
6. Spray mat with a weather proofing spray to protect your welcome mat from the elements.
7. Lay at your front door and inspire everyone that comes into your home!
