Materials

  • Wood
  • CAG-100 Multi-purpose Acrylic Polymer Primer
  • Watercolor paints
  • Blue painter’s tape
  • State stencil/template
  • Shadow box or picture frame
  • Hot glue

DIY Home State Wall Art - Home & Family

Directions

1. Cut wood to size for frame

2. Paint a layer of GAC primer on the wood. Set aside and allow to dry

3. Repeat one more time

4. Use blue painter’s tape to create the outline of a heart

5. Using template and pencil trace onto wood your home state
6. Once the paint is dry, remove the painter’s tape

7. Paint with watercolor to match or enhance your current décor. I will be doing a unpolished-ish version by adding additional water to some areas to create drips

8. Affix to frame9. Hang with pride
