- 3 sheets of black foam core
- Wood buttons
- Grey Paint
- Removable hanging tabs
- Utility knife, glue gun, straight edge
Materials for Monster Hinges
- Hinge Template (see PDF attachment below)
- Black Foam Core
- Styrofoam balls
- Faux rust paint (orange, black, brown)
- Utility knife
- Glue gun
Steps for Monster Door
1. Cut 3 equal sizes of foam core to equal the size of the door
2. Cut 2 cross pieces and glue across seams to create 1 full door size piece
3. On front, dry brush grey paint across to create wood effect
4. Use utility knife to score and notch panels
5. Cut 4 cross pieces and dry brush
6. Glue cross pieces in place
7. Cut hole for handle
8. Decorate the door using wood buttons
9. Hang Monster door on your front door using removable hanging tabs
Steps for Monster Hinges
1. Download Hinge PDF (below)
2. Mark hinge outline on foam core; cut out hinge shape
3. Cut Styrofoam balls in half; hot glue to hinge
4. Dry brush hinge with faux rust paint (orange, black, brown - to create a rust effect)
5. Hot glue finished hinge onto door
