- 2’x4’ plywood boards
- Blue adhesive vinyl
- White paint
- Piano hinge
- Poly acrylic
- Chess pieces: desired animals/figures
- Blue spray paint (or desired color)
- Hot glue gun / hot glue
- Wood rounds
DIY Giant Chess Set - Home & Family
Directions for Chessboard:
1. Paint boards white
2. Cut vinyl into 6”x 6” squares
3. Adhere squares to boards in checkerboard pattern
4. Seal each board with poly acrylic
5. Attach boards to each other with piano hinge.
Directions for Chess Pieces:
1. Glue each piece to a wood round
2. Spray paint entire piece including the wood round
3. Label each piece if desired
