Materials

  • Elastic or string
  • Edged ribbon
  • Scissors
  • Sewing machine
DIY Elastic Waist Coat - Home & Family

Directions

1) Lay Out The Coat Flat, With The Inside Facing Upwards

2) Measure Around The Waist From End To End

3) Cut Fabric Or Ribbon To The Length Of That Measurement And Cut Your Elastic Or String To The Same Length But Leaving Around 6 Inches On Either End

4) Tie The Ends Of The Elastic Or Attach Some Studs

5) Stitch The Fabric Or Ribbon Along Each Edge, Sewing Through The Coat To Make Two Lines On Either Side On The Inside Of The Coat From Waist End To End

6) Thread The Elastic Through Using A Large Needle O Safety Pin
