Materials
- Drop Cloth
- Painters Tape
- Paint/Paint Brushes
- Paint Roller (for paint)
- Rug Padding
- Duct Tape
- Clear Polyurethane
- Paint Roller (for polyurethane)
Directions
1) Lay out drop cloth (Sized to the room area needed)
2) Paint with base coat of white
3) When base coat is dry, use painters tape to tape off grid and paint pattern
4) Paint over design
5) When dry, take off painters tape
6) Turn rug over and spread floor padding across entire rug
7) Tape floor padding to the edge of the rug
8) Turn over rug and paint a coat of polyurethane to add a protective seal (*Do this step outside, in a well ventilated area and with protection underneath - we used a drop cloth)
(Optional) Use fabric glue to add fringe to the edges!
