Materials
- White foam board
- X-acto knife
- Spray glue
- 100 coffee filters
- Tongue depressors
- Fabric or lace
- Ribbons or bows to decorate
Directions:
1. Trace the outline of a wing on white foam board
2. Cut out wing with matte knife
3. Use the wing as a template to create the second one
4. On back side, spray-glue fabric to foam core and wrap around wing
5. Starting at the bottom, fold filters into triangles with uneven edges to create ruffles
6. Glue coffee filters in overlapping rows (approx. 100 filters)
7. Split tongue depressor lengthwise and add as support to each side anchoring wings together
8. Add a bow, ribbons or other decorations
9. Thread fabric or lace to tie wings together (creating shoulder straps)
10. Set up for photo or hang on wall
