Kym Douglas is showing you how to stay fresh and dry all day long using natural ingredients.

Materials for All-Natural Deodorant

  • 3 TBSP Beeswax
  • 1.5 TBSP Shea Butter
  • 3 TBSP Coconut Oil
  • 5 TBSP *Arrowroot Powder (Alternatively, you can use cornstarch if you prefer)
  • 10 - 15 Drops Essential Oil(s)

Materials for Natural Spray Deodorant

  • ½ Cup Witch Hazel
  • ¼ Tsp Baking Soda (You can lose this if you have any skin issues with it)
  • ¼ Cup Aloe Vera Gel
  • 15 drops Essential Oil (I like Violet/Jasmine and Tea Tree oil for their anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties)
All Natural Deodorants - Home & Family

Directions for All-Natural Deodorant

  1. Combine beeswax, shea butter, and coconut oil into a glass bowl.
  2. Melt ingredients over low heat on a double boiler, stirring continuously. (Another option is to place the glass bowl onto a saucepan with an inch of water)
  3. Once melted, set aside to cool for about a minute, stirring constantly.
  4. Add arrowroot powder to cooling mixture and stir vigorously with a whisk.
  5. Add essential oils and whisk.
  6. While it is still liquid, pour into deodorant containers and allow to dry fully. This will make about two smaller containers, or one big container. (You can find little deodorant containers or reuse old ones. Another option is to pour mixture into a mold and apply it as a deodorant “bar”)

*Arrowroot is a lovely natural alternative to baby and talcum powder. It is an anti-inflammatory and can also be used as an antiseptic, and oil absorber.

Directions for All-Natural Spray Deodorant

  1. Add all your ingredients to a spray bottle and shake well. Spray as needed!
