Tropical Pavlova
Chef and owner of “Maude” and “Gwen” restaurants Curtis Stone is in the kitchen preparing a delicious dessert, tropical pavlova. He tops the dish with coconut whipped cream. To get a perfectly round pavlova, he recommends drawing a circle on parchment paper and placing the meringue along the lines.

Tips For Hibiscus Care:
Hardy Hibiscus:
· Survives planted in ground in cold climate areas to -30 degrees
· Dies back to the ground in winter but reemerges in late spring/early summer and blooms until frost. Make sure to cut it back prior to winter months. The snow works as “insulation”
· Hardy hibiscus is ideal for Northern gardens!
Tropical Hibiscus:
· Outdoor plant mild winter areas or indoor plant
When properly cared for, a hibiscus can last 50 years
Water before and after using fertilizer
Measure 6” from the tip of the stem, cut below leaf
Cut Hibiscus will grow roots within one week
Plant the cutting in a mixture of potting soil and sand
