Scott Cavalheiro began his professional career in film and TV production when he co-wrote, produced and starred in a one-hour Toronto Fringe Festival play; wrote and produced three BRAVO! Fact short films and produced an award-winning primetime television short for Rogers One, directed by Erick Johnsons (“Vikings” 50 Shades franchise, “The Knick”). After partnering with Claire Stollery, NXNE comedian and founder of Stained Tie Films, Cavalheiro produced a comedic digital series (written by Stollery and comedian Tim Nasiopoulos) as well as the critically acclaimed short film, Who is Hannah, for CBC, written by Stollery and Just for Laugh’s John Hastings. He also optioned two Sci—Fi novels from famed British author Ben Jeapes and ranked Top 10 in the world for his comedic children’s animated series, “Evil Island.” His latest short, Take Your Mark, which is also Cavalheiro’s debut, is making the international film festival circuit while developing an hour dramedy for network television. He is also a seasoned actor with recent credits that include “Ransom,” “Schitt’s Creek,” “The Indian Detective,” “Mary Kills People,” “Carter” and “Christmas with a View.”
