DIY Finalist: Vicki and Steph Kubiak - Home & Family

The mother and daughter DIY team are making a cute barn door for your peep hole.

Steps

1) Duct tape 5 popsicle sticks together

2) Mark and cut top, bottom, and X pattern popsicle sticks with scissors

3) Glue the top and bottom sticks in place with tacky glue

4) Use wood stain on the door, X pattern, and handle (wood plug)

5) Use tacky glue to attach the X pattern and handle to the door

6) Connect the Lego pieces

7) Use Sugru to attach the lego pieces

8) At your front door, cut a metal hanger to size and use Sugru to attach bar to the door—duct tape into place and allow to set 24 hours. (Follow Sugru directions.)

9) Place the barn door on the metal bar and done!

10) Optional: Attach 2 felt pads in the corners to prevent scratching

11) Optional: If needed, use a magnets on the back for added stability. The door will still slide but clings tighter to the door. (Especially useful if you have door slammers at your house!)
