In 1997, Holly and Rodney formed the HollyRod Foundation, inspired by her father’s courageous battle with Parkinson’s disease, with the mission to help improve the quality of life of people with Parkinson’s. Then in 2005, motivated by their eldest son RJ’s autism diagnosis, HollyRod’s mission expanded to provide support and resources to those affected by an autism diagnosis.
When Cara finds her life spinning out of control, she returns to the scenic Lowcountry to visit her mother. Before long, the rhythms of the island open her heart in wonderful ways as she repairs the family beach house, becomes a bona fide "turtle lady," and renews old acquaintances long lost.
