Vanessa Marano Interview
Actress Vanessa Marano sits down with Mark and Cristina to talk about the return of her ABC Family series “Switched at Birth” which returns to television April 24th. Aside from “Switched at Birth,” Vanessa also played the title character in “The Brooke Ellison Story,” where she played a quadriplegic and worked closely with Christopher and Dana Reeve, prior to their deaths. Now she works closely with their foundation.

Preventing Osteoporosis
Dr. Sheryl Ross from the Providence Saint John's Health Center, visits Home & Family to talk about preventing Osteoporosis, a condition that can occur when bones lack calcium and vitamin D, which results in them becoming weak and brittle. Osteoporosis is five times more common in women and screenings for it should begin at the age of 50 and performed bi-annually. She encourages women to eat a colorful diet, high in dairy, protein and vitamin D and this includes much-needed sunlight.
