Legendary singer Graham Nash visits Home & Family to talk about his iconic career with Crosby, Stills & Nash and recounts the stories behind some of his biggest hits. One of the band’s biggest songs, “Our House,” was written about a morning spent with Joni Mitchell, in her Laurel Canyon home after spending a morning antique shopping. He also shares how he met David Crosby and Stephen Stills at Joni’s house and the trio would later go on to form their band. He credits all of his musical success to listening to his parents’ advice, to always follow his heart.

Trellised Mirror
Ken Wingard is showing you how to spruce up your mirror by adding a trellis to it. He points out that he loves mirrors and that they can make or break a room. When he started researching trellised mirrors, he noticed they can cost up to $800. The secret when designing the trellis mirror is to use a dry erase pen to mark your design, so that you can easily remove the marks when you place the trellis on the glass.

Dog Training: Manners
Celebrity dog trainer Joel Silverman is back to talk about manners for your dogs. He cites the two most common bad behaviors from dogs are jumping on people and bolting out the door when they have a chance. He tells dog owners to shout “no” in a very assertive manner, so let the dog know you are serious about them not jumping up on you. Correct your dog’s behavior before they do something bad. Using a leash, do a slight pull, to train the dog from constantly trying to bolt out the door.

Taya Kyle Interview
The author of the recent autobiography, “American Wife,” Taya Kyle opens up about her late husband, Chris Kyle, who was killed in February of 2013 at a gun range by a soldier who claimed he was suffering PTSD, a condition that was later revealed he lied about. She also talks about what it was like having Clint Eastwood make a movie about her husband, “American Sniper,” where actor Bradley Cooper played Chris and Sienna Miller portrayed Tara. She now remains involved in the Chris Kyle Frog Foundation, which helps provide interactive experiences for military families to help them stay connected.
