Diane Ladd Interview
The legendary actress sits down with Mark and Debbie to talk about her Hallmark Channel Original Series, “Chesapeake Shores” which airs on Sundays at 9/8c. She plays the nana of the family in the drama and even brings a clip for the audience to enjoy. Diane also shares that she wanted to be a lawyer when she was growing up but it became clear to her while in church that she had a calling. Today, she celebrates a 50-year career in show business. She opens up that she was not amused that her daughter Laura Dern first wanted to be an actor, but once she saw her talent, she encouraged her to follow her dreams.

Banana Shortcake
Pastry chef Valerie Gordon is back in the kitchen talking about how she describes herself as a restoration chef, bringing to life recipes nobody really makes anymore. Today she is making Chasen’s Banana Cake. She says the key is using very ripe bananas. Once you are done making the cake, you should eat it on the same day, or you can wrap it up and store it in the refrigerator for up to one day. It is also important to use high quality heavy cream for the layers.

DYI Chalk Paint
Ken Wingard is explaining what chalk paint is, which is a paint that has chalk replacement inside it. The result is a rustic and rough look, with a chalky finish. Today, Ken is showing you how to make your own using plaster of paris, water, paint and a paint stirrer. Once you make the chalk paint, you can use it on wood, glass and metal and only need to apply one coat.

Rachel calls herself a big meal prep mom, so she prepares all the ingredients in Ziploc bags, pre-measured, so all she has to do is dump it in the cooker. Marc Summers calls the green chili chicken one of the best dishes he has ever had come out of a slow cooker. She points out that you can freeze almost any slow cooker meal. Most of her typical slow cooker meals contain 4-6 servings and can be stored in the freezer for up to a month.
