Brooke D’Orsay and Daniel Lissing Interview
Actors Brooke D’Orsay and Daniel Lissing stop by Home & Family to talk about their new Hallmark Channel Original Movie, “Christmas in Love,” which premieres November 11th at 8/7c. Brooke shares a sweet story of how Daniel got so hooked on working with pies that he bought the whole crew their own to take home! Meanwhile, Daniel shares what it is like celebrating the holidays in Australia, during their summertime months.
Kale Shakshuka
Chef and host of Food Network’s “Girl Meets Farm,” Molly Yeh is in the kitchen making one of her favorite breakfast dishes, kale shakshuka. She explains she uses kale in the wintertime because it is so hearty and healthy. Keep adding kale to the pan as it will shrink from cooking in the olive oil. If you do not want to use kale, you can always substitute in spinach, chards or collard greens.
How to Throw a Great Holiday Party
Maria Provenzano is giving you some tips on how to throw the ultimate holiday party for your family and friends. Author of “Southern Soups & Stews,” Nancie McDermott is in the kitchen today making a hearty dish of Georgia-style Brunswick stew with pork, ground beef and ground turkey. She explains that a Brunswick stew is a traditional stew that is cooked low and slow and feeds a giant group. Because this is a Georgia-style stew, it is faster to make and won’t take overnight. Nancie reveals that she loves her recipes to have a story attached to them.

Actor Sean Faris stops by to talk about his new Hallmark Movies & Mysteries Movie, “A Veteran’s Christmas,” which premieres November 11th at 9/8c. He even brings an emotional clip from the movie for the audience to enjoy. Sean is joined by real life veteran Technical Sergeant, Dustin Cain and his wife, Stephanie. Debbie surprises Dustin that through the work with Pups4Patriots, he will be reunited with his own military dog, Bakk.

DIY Ornament Topiaries
Paige Hemmis is taking foam balls and turning them into festive outdoor ornament topiaries. When attaching the ramekins to the top of the ornaments, use a glue gun on low so it won’t melt the styrofoam. For her finishing touch, she takes hat boxes and turns them into little drummer boy drums.
