Larissa Wohl is a dynamic journalist best known for her energetic and relatable personality. Currently she can be seen on Hallmark Channel’s “Home & Family” as the resident pet rescue expert. Her years of dedication to working with shelter animals and fostering for dozens of rescue groups makes her the perfect addition to the 2-time Emmy Nominated show. She is thrilled to combine her background in news and her passion for animals to such a prominent platform to help educate and entertain viewers about animal related issues.
Prior to “Home & Family,” Larissa worked as a morning traffic anchor and live field reporter for the NBC affiliate in Tucson, AZ. Larissa’s journalistic skills and versatility made her the go-to reporter for everything from entertainment and community events to hard-hitting news disasters like the shooting of Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords.
After working at KVOA, Larissa went to anchor and produce for the ABC affiliate in Bakersfield, CA and then became a freelance reporter and weather anchor for Fox 5 in San Diego, CA and the host and producer for the Scripps’s produced show, “The List.”
On “The List,” Larissa’s engaging and approachable personality helped shine a spotlight on San Diego’s finest. From the latest restaurants to the hottest fitness studios to the traveling circus show, Larissa continuously immersed herself into to each of her stories to give viewers an “inside” look.
Larissa is elated to be back in her hometown of Los Angeles and lives with her various foster animals and her two rescue dogs, Muppet and Maple.
