Summer Fun at your Local Museum

Dakota the Triceratops and Hunter the T.rex are part of the Dinosaur Encounters programming at the Natural History Museum of LA County.

The Natural History Museum of LA County has wonderful summer programs including Summer Nights in the Garden, an after-hours event which features music, cocktails, tours, projects, food trucks and much more.  More information on this and other programs at nhm.org.


Callie and Nibbles are part of the first realistic puppet program created for American Museums to perform with extinct creatures. Callie was created for the Los Angeles Natural History Museum by the Henson Creature Shop.

Events for Adults:

The Hair Ball, The Page Museum, June 21, 2014 Wear your most outrageous style and come to see and be seen. Music, Food, Fun and Glamor. First Fridays at the Museum are evening events featuring cocktails, live music and community. Summer Garden Parties start up at NHM in July 2014 A Night at the Museum is an ongoing Parent/Child sleep-over Search the Internet for Museums with programs for kids and families in your area. Many Museums have affordable Summer Camps and Overnight Sleep-overs as well as interactive programs.
